PSA House System / LEAP Day

At Palmetto Scholars Academy, the House System helps create the family atmosphere that makes PSA special. Every student belongs to a House, which gives them a deeper sense of connection, belonging, and pride within our school community. The House System is designed to build relationships, strengthen school culture, and ensure that every student is known, supported, and encouraged.

Through the PSA House System, students have opportunities to grow in character, connect with peers across grade levels, and build meaningful relationships with faculty and staff. It is one more way we make sure every scholar has a place to belong and another caring adult to lean on.

Why the House System Matters

The PSA House System was established to:

• promote positive relationships and mentoring among students
• strengthen connections between students and faculty
• give every student another trusted adult in their corner
• build pride in being a PSA Scholar and House member
• reinforce character education and school culture

Our Houses are named after figures from Greek mythology whose symbolism reflects the four core values of PSA. These values are at the heart of who we are and how we grow together as a school community. The current Houses are Athena, Heracles, Kratos, and Poseidon, each connected on the live page to one of PSA’s featured character traits.

LEAP Day at PSA

During PSA LEAP Days, students compete to earn points for their Houses through team-based challenges, activities, and friendly competition. LEAP Day gives students a chance to show school spirit, leadership, teamwork, and character while building stronger bonds within their House.

These events are more than competitions. They are opportunities for scholars to demonstrate pride, encouragement, and unity while representing their House with excellence.
