PSA Students to attend Girls State
PSA Students Selected for Palmetto Girls State
Three PSA students were chosen for the American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls State program this year. Lorelei LaRue, Khadidiatu Seck, and Marisa Blunt were chosen for their leadership skills in their schools and communities.
Palmetto Girls State is a one-week leadership and citizenship training program set up to educate outstanding high school students about state and local government and citizenship. Selected students get to simulate political campaigns, elections, and the political process in order to experience the political process. Guest speakers, expert panels, and program staff expand the lessons to include principles of citizenship and public service.
Congratulations Marisa, Khadidiatu, and Lorelei!!
