Remarkable Feat: PSA Students Excel in National Merit Scholarship Program

Palmetto Scholars Academy is proud to announce the extraordinary achievement of two of its rising seniors, Marisa Blunt and Kayla Rivero, who have secured positions in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. Their stellar performance on the PSAT/NMSQT has earned them well-deserved recognition in this highly competitive arena.

Out of 1.3 million talented entrants nationwide, Marisa and Kayla have distinguished themselves as standout performers, placing them among the top 3.8% of students to be honored. 

The program will recognize them as either Semifinalists or Commended Students in the fall. About 16,000 students from this group will be named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists and will continue in the competition for 7,140 Merit Scholarship awards in 2025.

Marisa and Kayla's exceptional achievements reflect not only their individual brilliance but also the caliber of education and support provided by Palmetto Scholars Academy. Their success serves as an inspiration to their peers and a testament to the commitment to excellence that defines our institution.
