5.16.2025 Friday Letter to Families
5.16.2025 Friday Letter to Families
Good afternoon, PSA families!
We had a busy week with SCReady and halfway through May, but our Phoenix students were able to stay focused and finish strong! We are excited to celebrate our seniors next Friday at Graduation! Here is what is in store for next week!
Attitude of Gratitude (Positive Feedback) PLEASE KEEP’EM COMING!
-
We absolutely love our teachers and staffulty and hope you do too! National Teacher Appreciation Week has come to an end, but PLEASE KEEP THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK COMING and help us finish the year strong! If you would like to send a kind word to show your appreciation for your student’s teacher or any staffulty, please do so on our “Attitude of Gratitude” form to let us know who deserves a reminder that THEY MATTER during this week, or sooner!
May 23 Schedule Change - Half Day
-
This is a reminder that next Friday, May 23, is a Half Day. Dismissal will be at 12:00 pm, lunches will not be provided and there will be no aftercare. All staffulty will be heading off campus to celebrate and attend graduation.
8th Grade "Leveling Up" Day – Thursday, May 29! (STUDENTS ONLY)
-
Starting next week, 8th grade parents can pay the cost for the Leveling Up event. Online payments are $7 and can be paid here or $5 in person. If paying in person, 8th graders can swing by Mr. Ogletree's classroom on the Heracles Hallway during middle school lunch only. This is a closed event for 8th graders only. Although we appreciate the willingness of parent participation, there is no foreseeable need for parents to attend. If you wish to volunteer as a chaperone, please email Mr. Ogletree and CC: Mr. Sweeney at chris.ogletree@psaschool.org and charlie.sweeney@psaschool.org. Game On!
Phoenix Fest is Coming!!!
-
As a celebration for the end of the year, the Student Council would like to bring back an old PSA tradition, Phoenix Fest! For those that have never attended a Phoenix Fest before, it is a fair type event with games, activities, and food for all grade levels and their families to enjoy! More specific details will be given in the next Friday notes but this event will take place on Thursday, May 29, from 2:30pm - 5:30pm, so that our PSA families can participate in the fun. In order to make this happen we would love (and need) some community support.
-
We are looking for donations of a variety of needs. Please click this link for more details on how you can support this event.
-
Here is our Map for the event!
-
Lunch on May 29th will be provided by the Student Council during the school day and will cost $5 for a hotdog or hamburger, chips, and a drink. Any donations towards lunch (food, plateware, drinks) will help Student Council raise funds for future events!
-
If you are interested in donating, all information regarding drop off time/date, quantity of items needed, and types of items needed for lunch are in this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054CA5A82AA4FECF8-56258684-psasummer#/
Registrar’s Desk -
-
As we prepare to close out the 2024–2025 school year, please take a moment to review a few important reminders and updates from the Registrar’s Office.
-
If your student will not be returning to Palmetto Scholars Academy next school year, we ask that you complete the official Withdrawal Form here as soon as possible. Completing this step ensures that your student's records are properly closed and allows us to offer available seats to families currently on the waitlist.
-
Final grades will be accessible in PowerSchool at the end of the school year. If your student is transferring to another school, please note that official records and transcripts will only be sent once a completed withdrawal form has been completed and received.
-
Please ensure that your PowerSchool Parent Portal account is active and updated. This platform allows you to view your student’s grades, attendance, and any outstanding balances. If your mailing address has changed at any point during this school year and has not been updated in PowerSchool, please reach out to the Registrar’s Office so we can update your student's file as final report cards are mailed.
-
Thank you for your attention to these important updates and for partnering with us in closing out the school year on a strong note. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact via email at registation@psaschool.org.
