Good afternoon, PSA families! We hope everyone enjoys their Valentine’s Day and long weekend! Here is what we have coming up in the next week.

Presidents’ Day - There will be no school on Monday, February 17, as we recognize President’s Day.

Phoenix Yearbook Updates - PSA's Yearbook: The Phoenix Family Album

• If you have not yet ordered a yearbook, now is the time! The last day for a guaranteed book is Friday, Feb. 21st. We need to finalize our order and get an appropriate number of books. This presale is the only guaranteed way to ensure a book, as we don't order many extras and we do sell out.
• If you are planning to purchase at the end of the school year, please reconsider. If you can't pay in full now, it's easy to set up a payment plan through Jostens. You can also pay by e-check and Venmo through Jostens.com There are options!
• If you aren't sure you ordered online, it's very quick and easy to check. Click this link.
• If you have any other questions, please email betsy.miller@psaschool.org. If you have already ordered, thank you so much for supporting the students and our yearbook program. They are working so hard to put together the best book possible.

Powerschool & Attendance Updates:

• Parents, please remind your students to turn in all excuse notes in the designated box on the wall outside the front office. This is the only location where excuse notes should be placed. Parents may excuse up to 5 absences per semester and 10 absences per school year with signed parent notes. Please submit parent notes within 3 days of your student's return to school. There is no limit to the number of absences excused with medical notes. Please contact Ms. Madison by email with any attendance questions. shanelle.madison@psaschool.org 
• Great news! Our RevTrak/PowerSchool interface is up and running. You can now see all fees in PowerSchool if you click the "balance" Icon. Once on the balance page, there is a button on the top right that says "Make a Payment". You will be directed to PSA's RevTrak page. Use the same email address you use to access PowerSchool to sign in. The fees page will load and you can add the fees you want to pay to the cart. Once you have paid, you will receive payment confirmation. The transaction will immediately be reflected on your student's PowerSchool Balance page.

Counselors Corner - 

• The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting their monthly virtual college fair this Sunday, February 16 from 1 to 6 PM.  More information and registration can be found here.

SC Public Charter School District New - 

• “Today’s coverage in The Post and Courier about the launch of the SCPCSD Parent Advisory Council (PAC). This article highlights the importance of this initiative and how we are working together to ensure that families of students with disabilities have a strong voice in our district and across South Carolina.”

Registrar’s Desk -

• The registration fee for 2025/2026 is due by March 10, 2025. Below are the available options for paying tuition and fees for the 2025-2026 school year:
  • Cash or Check – Payments can be made in person during office hours (8:30 AM – 2:45 PM). Please ensure that checks are made payable to Palmetto Scholars Academy. Our office staff will be happy to assist you with any questions regarding your payment.
• Online Payment – For your convenience, payments can be made online through RevTrak, our secure payment system. Simply follow these steps: Visit our school website. 
  • Click on the “Pay Fees” icon located on the homepage.
  • You will be redirected to RevTrak, where you can complete your payment securely and efficiently.
  • For any questions, please email registration@psaschool.org. 
• Transcript requests must be submitted through Parchment. 
• For assistance with transcripts, report cards, or related inquiries, please email records@psaschool.org.

• For Students - Walk For Autism - Volunteers are needed for the Walk for Autism on April 26, 2024, from 7 am to 1:30 pm. Any students wishing to volunteer can come for part of the hours or all. If interested in volunteering, please contact Rose O'Neal at 843-553-1316 or rrzoneal@hotmail.com
