10.4.24 PSA Letter to Families

October 4, 2024

Happy October, Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, and Happy Breast Cancer Awareness month PSA!

LEAP day - My words are failing me to express how much fun my very first LEAP day was today! Kids were making crepes, playing board games, learning new skills in origami, and having such a wonderful time! Town hall was a raucous good time with Athena taking an early lead in the points standings. My photos aren’t attaching, but we will figure out the bug and get them on the website soon. Thank you to all the teachers, volunteers, and mostly the kids who made today absolutely amazing!

This week’s PSA tip #1- As we seek to maximize the time that we have to educate and serve every student, we ask that parents refrain from asking PSA staff to deliver messages or food to students, except in cases of an emergency. The nature of the emergency must be specified to a school official before classroom activities can be interrupted. Arrangements for routine matters such as rides to

and from school, car and house key delivery and pick-up, job times, lunch plans, meeting places,

etc. should be made before students arrive at school.

Students are not permitted to have deliveries made to school (eg. UberEats, DoorDash,

etc.). Students who have forgotten their lunch may ask a parent to drop off lunch at the

front office or order a school lunch.

This week’s PSA tip #2 - All student fees are updated regularly on Powerschool. You can see the amount owed in red in the top right hand corner of your student’s account. Payments can be made at the PSA front desk or on our website using Revtrack. Revtrack users will click on the correct payment category on the dashboard and complete the transaction to make the payment. All questions are welcome, and should be directed to alisha.stanley@psaschool.org

This and a plethora of other important information can be found in the PSA Parent/Student handbook

ACT/SAT next week! -  An email for each student  ACT & SAT test taker was sent via email. The email contains action items, location of exams, reporting time, and reminders. Please direct students to their school email for this information.

Chick Fil A Athletes of the Month - Please join us in celebrating our fantastic student athletes!

  • Katelyn King - Volleyball - Grade 7

  • McKenna Blankenship - Volleyball - Grade 8

  • Griffen Quartuccio - Cross Country - Grade 10

  • Emily Guingrich - Cross Country - Grade 8

From the students, staff, and administration of PSA, “Thank you for all your support!”

Sincerely,

Dr. Kimberly Zerbst
