VEX Robotics teams win spots at World Competition

Two VEX Robotics Teams from PSA are going to the VEX World Championship in Dallas, Texas at the end of April!

All 6 PSA VEX Robotics Teams competed at the State Championship in Lexington, Feb. 24, 2024.  The competition was tough, but PSA robotics students persevered.  Middle School team 9447A finished the tournament as the Runners-up to State Champion and won the Amaze Award, double qualifying them for Worlds.  High School Team 9447G won the Design Award and an invitation to Worlds.    

Headed to Worlds are: 

Team 9447A: Matthew Jones, Caroline Huffman, Justus Brewer, Max Sherlock

Team 9447G: Owen Frye, Griffin LaRue, Eden Rutherford, Sami Freeman

The other four PSA teams all achieved personal victories in the tournament, and the coach would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication these students have given to robotics since the season began last May.

Team 9447P: Oliver Adams, Luca Venturini, Caysen Clark, Ned Ilarina, Liam Bell

Team 9447V: Beckett Frye, Abdoul Seck, Tanner Tibbets, Mohit Kanthety, Jaydon Hall

Team 9447W: Ayden Hope, Justice Garris, Anthony Lopez-Garcia, Ethan Marasigan
