PSA VEX Robotics Teams Bring Home Awards at World Championship!
Congratulations to two VEX Robotics teams from PSA who competed at the VEX Robotics Worlds Championships in Dallas, TX, and brought home special awards.
High School Team 9447G, The Exploding Kittens, included students Eden Rutherford, Griffin LaRue, Owen Frye, and Sami Freeman. Team 9447A from middle school consists of Caroline Huffman, Justus Brewer, Matthew Jones, and Max Sherlock.
Both teams had fantastic performances in their divisions against 80 other robotics teams from around the world! 9447G progressed to the 16th round and earned the Judges Award, while 9447A made it to the semi-finals, ultimately losing a heartbreaking match (129-130). This team went on to win the Create Award.
To earn their spot at the World Championships, which hosted 1300 teams from 80 countries across 16 divisions between middle and high school, PSA was one of the top 10 teams in South Carolina. Of the three SC awards at the competition, PCA was honored to win two. Palmetto Scholars Academy continues its legacy of excellence in robotics.
