PSA Band Groups ranked Superior

PSA is proud to announce that two of its talented band groups have achieved the highest honor at the recent Solo and Ensemble Festival hosted by the South Carolina Music Educators Association. 

Under the guidance of band director, Mr. Raymond McKinley, these dedicated students demonstrated exceptional skill and artistry, earning a Superior rating.

Among the standout performances was the percussion group led by Alexander Powell, Elijah Freeman, and Gerald Wells. Additionally, Elijah Friedman and his brother Jacob formed another group that delivered an outstanding performance, earning them Superior scores​ as well.

The adjudication process evaluated participants across various criteria, including technique, pitch accuracy, rhythm accuracy, interpretation, and musical effect. 

Palmetto Scholars Academy extends its heartfelt congratulations to all students who participated in the Solo and Ensemble Festival, as well as to Mr. Raymond McKinley for his exceptional leadership and guidance.
