Meet the Coach

Athletic Trainer:  Amber Andrews

Hi, my name is Amber. I have been the athletic trainer for PSA since September 2022 and have been with MUSC since I graduated college in spring of 2021. I graduated with my master's in athletic training and bachelors in exercise science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. I have a goofy black lab at home named Nola, that you might be lucky enough to meet! I am an ovarian cancer survivor, so I don’t have kids. But if you ask, I will say I have about 100 because I consider all my athletes as my children. If you see random splashes of teal during the season, it’s for ovarian cancer awareness!

For those who don’t know what an athletic trainer is, I usually tell people we are the people you see run out on the field when someone gets hurt on televised sports games. As an athletic trainer, I am dedicated to my athlete's wellbeing, physically and mentally. We specialize in diagnosing, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of all sport injuries. And working with MUSC, I am able to get your child seen by the best doctors in the Charleston area, usually within a week. I truly love my job and my athletes and look forward to working with them throughout the school year!
