Steps to filing a Grievance/Complaint/Appeal a Discipline Referral:
(Full details on the Complaints and Grievance Policy PSA-OPR034.2 can be found below):
1) Informal Discussion with Principal/Designee (Assistant Principal) within 10 days of the incident. If not resolved, proceed to next step.
2) Submittal of a Written Grievance Form within 10 days of incident (Google Form). If not resolved, proceed to next step.
3) Final Appeal to the PSA Board of Directors (when scheduled)
If a complaint involves a severe and imminent threat to student health and safety it should be brought to the immediate attention of the school’s administration by calling the main office during school hours and emailing Mr. Reyes after hours. If after hours, please contact the North Charleston Police Department 843-743-7200 or 911, as soon as possible. Every effort must be made to seek to address and resolve the potential risk.
