Palmetto Scholars Academy (PSA) is a public charter school designed to discover, nurture, and optimize the full potential of intellectually gifted 6th-12th grade students.
Located in North Charleston, SC, Palmetto Scholars Academy is a Charter day school for gifted students. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.

Interested in joining Teacher Cadets next year? Come to an interest meeting to get all the answers to your questions. The meeting is on Wednesday, April 24, in Ms. Hudgens' room, 188, during High School Lunch. You can pick up the application packet, chat with current cadets, and ask any questions!
PSA's Beta Club will be hosting a Spring Market during Town Hall on April 26. Students or clubs can sign up to have a booth to sell their products by using the QR code before April 12.
The Palmetto Scholars Academy Board of Directors will have three elected positions to fill terms beginning September 2024. The Nominating Committee is calling for nominees from the community to apply to serve on the Board of Directors.
The application period will open on Monday, March 25, with an application deadline of April 10, 2024. Qualified candidates will then be presented to the PSA community for election in late April, and elected members will have the support of the current Board members for orientation and training through August before officially beginning their term.

Three PSA students were chosen for the American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls State program this year. Lorelei LaRue, Khadidiatu Sec, and Marissa Blunt were chosen for their leadership skills in their schools and communities.
